On the return journey from Milford Sound back to Te Anau, your guide will drop you to the Milford Airport and check you in to your helicopter flight (weather permitting). Taking off to the west, tracking past the world famous Mitre Peak, before turning towards Mt Tutoko, the tallest mountain in Fiordland, and experiencing a glacier landing before heading down through mountain valleys, across Gertrude Saddle, then landing to meet your Mercedes coach again for the final hour of your day tour. An absolute highlight of the tour.

Tour departure time in summer months (1st Oct - 31st Apr) is 10:30am, check-in at 10:00am

• 8 hours, 30 minutes. Make your own way to RealNZ Visitor Centre in Manapouri.
• Cruise across Lake Manapouri, followed by a coach trip over the epic Wilmot Pass through Fiordland’s rainforest and into the Sound
• A 3-hour cruise through the waterways of Doubtful Sound
• Cruise onboard the Patea Explorer.
• Commentary by local Skipper and Nature Guide
• Wildlife viewing, including dolphins, fur seals and even occasionally penguins
